I'm taking music composition lessons these days from a GREAT teacher, Bob Priest in Portland, OR. We're working on preparing for my senior project which at this point could be anything from a full-on orchestral/choral oratorio to a collection of vocal and instrumental pieces I've written over the last 40 years, and anything in between. Some GREAT books he has turned me on to include: 'The Listening Book' by Walter Mathieu, and Persichetti's 'Twentieth Century Harmony' (for all us music theory nerds!) I'm lovin' it!
